Hi, As you have seen, we have done some minor design updates in the asa forum and have updated some descriptions to fit the new product lines of ASA. During a backend check-up, we saw that after the last update one board lost the posting permission. You are allowed to post on all the forum boards except the Global Announcements board where you only can answer to Admin posts. If you experience something not working as expected, please let us know this Best regards, Michael

admin replied to admin's topic in Global Announcements
Btw. sorry for the short notice, the changes are done faster than discussed with the provider. -
Hi everybody, Due to marketing and technical reasons, we have decided to put the forum under the new domain: www.asa-forum.com Besides the address change, nothing will change for you. We will inform you when the changes are done. Best regards ASA Support Team

Bugs solved: No known bugs. New feature: Now you can upload your own Cover Photo. For doing this, visit your profile and click on Cover Photo at the right top of the page. Use a width of 1635 px and a height of 250 px. To keep loading time low, we have limited the file size to 1MB for the Cover Photo. Let me know if there are any problems or concerns. CS, Michael

If you want to have this boards in the Forum, we can create them. I think the forum is better for discussions and more responsive than a Wiki. I think Wiki should be the knowledge database that should be updated with the latest learning and information that are generated out of discussions in the forum. What boards should we generate? BR

Hello, that wiki looks great! Who is the owner of it? Regards, Michael
-
Hello, we are really proud to have such a great ASA community where everyone is helping others to improve there know how in using ASA products. Therefore we are currently thinking about the possibility to install a wiki here in our forum, to give our customers a better way to share there know how. We know there are many wikis out there and since we are specialized in building astronomy equipment, we are not well experienced in wikis. To make sure to give you a Wiki that fit the community needs, we ask you for suggestions which wiki we should use and why. Please feel free to post links to your favourite wiki and ad some points on the advantages and disadvantages of this wiki. Thank you for helping us to improve the forum. Best regards, Your ASA Team!

DDM 85 XL runs the HomeFind uncontrollably and at high speed
admin replied to Uwe Trulson's question in ASA DDM85, 100, 200, 500
Hi Uwe, for me, this sounds that you scope is not well balanced. Errors often occur on balancing problems, before you start your next session, I would recommend to ensure that the telescope will stay on each possible position with motors turned off. Best regards, Michael -

What are minimum compter specs needed to run the software?
admin replied to MikePaling's question in ASA DDM60/PRO
I think you will not find a slow PC that will not run Autoslew. Autoslew and Sequenz are running since years on my Win XP Prof. PC with a single core 2.8GHz CPU and just 2 GB RAM. Most mobile phones have more power But I never faced any problem with it. Regards, Michael -
we recommend to install always the latest versions of Autoslew and Sequenz to avoid any trouble. BR Michael
