  1. Hi George, it's only available on request. We want to ensure that people are aware that they are testing a beta and that it is on their own risk. But the beta is very stable and it's working very well btw. now you will see the Beta Board where you can find the actual beta versions for Sequenz and Autoslew. Please update both to ensure that it will work. Regards, Michael
  2. Hi George, have you checked your Time and Location Settings? Is the computers clock running the actual time? Does TheSky and Autoslew use the same location settings? Check if TheSky uses the computers clock, sometimes TheSky is not synced with the computers clock which results in position error. If this is all ok, please go in contact with the ASA Support to get further assistance. Regards, Michael
  3. Hi Max, the Balacing tool came back with one of the latest Beta versions and should be available again with the next stable release of Autoslew. Best regards, Michael

Michi
  6. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015 to all friends and customer of ASA! We wish you lot's of clear skies with perfect seeing Your ASA Team!

  8. Hello, as I have promised to keep you posted regarding news, here they are.... today I had call with Philipp Keller about the next steps regarding when you can expect the next update. Philipp will review the actual bug list and try get rid most of them next week and will release a new beta to the beta group. Depending on the results, we will decide if this release will become a stable version and will be available as download for all users. Philipp has currently to finish a bigger project and he will work hard on Autoslew starting at the middle of September. Best regards, Michael Addendum: It looks good that the beta will become a stable version in a few weeks.
  9. Hello, please don't forgett, if you are using currently the stabel version of Autoslew and Sequenz, you can't use your backuped data when installing the latest beta. There are to many changes in the Sotware between Autoslew 5.1.1.6 and the latest Beta! Best regards, Michael
  10. Hi John, I talked with Egon Döberl while he is/was in his holidays he will discuss this with Philipp Keller as soon as possible. The Beta Members have posted all actual known bugs, I'm sure Philipp will try to solve them with the next release, then we will let the Beta tester test it again bevor there will be a public release. I'll keep you posted with news. Best regards, Michael
  11. Hi Ian, this is very good point, I will keep this in mind and will discuss this with ASA. Best regards, Michael

  14. Hello, We have good news for all of you who are waiting for the next step regarding Software and Documentation. We appreciate all your feedback because it helps us to make things better. The ASA Team is aware about your concerns and trouble with Autoslew and Sequenz. To solve problems and make things easier, ASA decided to concentrate on a bigger software update which will be released at the end of the year. We beg your patient for this update and are sure that it is worth to wait for it. Critical bugs in the current version of Autoslew will be eliminated by Philipp Keller as soon as possible. We are also closing the gap in our documentation. We will create professional manuals for Autoslew and Sequenz which will have the same quality as our mounts and optics as you already accustomed. Your ASA Team! Euer ASA Team!
  15. Hello, just for your information. I'm currently preparing a presentation to ASA about your wishes and concerns. I sure I can give you a kind of road map how and what will be done in next few month. This is the rason why I asked the beta testers to give an overview about actual bugs in Autoslwe and Sequenz and to create a wish list to see what is needed. I'll give you an update after talking with ASA. Best regards, Michael
  16. Hello Joaquin, I think Dietmar already send you the answer by email, if you have further questions please don't hesitate to contact him again. The screw size is the same on both screws (M6). (The 3 holes for the push screws are a bit larger but M6x50 DIN912 fit in.) For safety and optimal adjustment take 3 pcs. M6x55 DIN912 with you. The screw lenght depends on the thickness from the main- mirror. Take a lookt a these images:
  17. Hello, First of all, thank you for all your comments. I will talk to Egon Döberl, the CEO of ASA, about your concerns. Regarding the software development. I have opened to threads to report actual bugs in the current beta of Autoslew and Sequenz. The plan is to ask Philipp to remove them, to roll out a corrected version for testing and then to roll out a new stable version for all users. The new Autoslew Version is different in several parts eg. there is no need to tell Autoslew the correct side of peer so it currently it makes no sense to create a new manual. If you have actual bugs please post them into the two threads as soon as possible. Regarding ASA Support and this forum. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding, if someone need support please contact ASA directly. This forum is mainly for user 2 user help, which is often very effective and helpful but if you don't find help here you have to contact ASA directly. The support team is not reading this forum every day. Please send them an email to: support@astrosysteme.at or give them a call. Dietmar Weinzinger and Wolfgang Grünner are very nice guys who try to help and solve every problem http://www.astrosysteme.at/eng/team.html Best regards, Michael
  18. Hi Nigel, thank you for your intput. If there are enough users who are interested in this topic, we can talk about to open a special section for this here. Who is working in this fields and would welcome a subforum for this topic? Best regards, Michael
  19. Hi Bill, I tried to downoload the Autoslew .exe and it worked without any problems. If you can't donwload it from the website, I have sent you a message with a link to my dropbox where you can download it. Best regards, Michael
  20. Hello Renims, if you interested in becoming a beta tester, please read this: http://forum.astrosysteme.com/index.php?/topic/165-how-to-become-a-beta-tester/ Best regards, Michael
  21. Hello, it was not my intention to ignore the main questions. First of all, a Wiki will never replace a manual. To keep a manual up to date takes a lot of time and in our case we prefer to have a working stable version of our programms than an daily updated manual. I will forward your request for an updated manual to ASA. Michael
  22. Hello, thank you for the links. I will go throu the different wikies and and discuss it with the ASA Team. But the Wiki will never replace our manuals. Best regards, Michael
  23. Hi Ian, you are right. We receive a lot of spam bot registration and they are also counted till I delete them. We check each registration by hand to ensure that no spam bots can enter our Forum. Best regards, Michael
  24. here is the link to the Wiki Thread. http://forum.astrosysteme.com/index.php?/topic/200-discussion-about-a-wiki-for-asa/ Best regards, Michael
  25. Hello, I'd like to open here a discussion about a possible Wiki. If you know Wiki software, freeware, buy or rent, please post it here. It would be great if you can write something about the software, advantages and disadvantages and your experiences with it. Please keep in mind that we are just brain storming and I can't promise that we will implement one yet. But let us see what possibilities we have Best regards, Michael
