  1. Hello, Martin, thank you very much for your feedback. The ASA 12N is from 2010 and I get the ASA control box not addressed. You need the software components from time (Win Vista or Win7) with Netframework and FTDI drivers. It depends here on the versions. I am already in contact with the ASA support and hope to be able to purchase a newer control box. Regards, Thomas
  2. Hello Forum, I need help with software, I bought a used ASA 12N year 2010. Unfortunately without software. I can't get the OKZ to work with the drivers that are stored in the support. Neither under Windows 10 nor under Windows 7 The USB connector is recognized as a serial interface. However, ACC always responds with a "Device Error". The FTDI drivers are installed, everything according to the instructions but unfortunately without success. I would be very happy about help and support. Greetings, Thomas
  3. Hi, Waldemar, thank you very much for your welcome and the feedback to my question. What you write makes sense to me and confirms my experience with an existing Newton system. Now the question remains which adaptation harmonizes with the system. Fortunately I found a reseller who offers a corresponding adapter / Off Axis guider for the 3 inch Wynne Corrector. Best regards from the rainy Eifel and CS, Thomas
  4. A warm hello to the ASA Forum, my name is Thomas and next weekend I will be the proud owner of an ASA 12N. After many years of Dobson observation, I built an observatory and dedicated myself to astrophotography. With 12 inch f:4 I already have some experience. But I can't get any further with one question, the topic Guiding. What is recommended for a non ASA mount, off Axis guiding or a guide tube? I would be very pleased about a recommendation or practical experience. To the system: ASA 12N + 3 inch Wynne Corrector on an EQ8 Best regards and CS, Thomas
