  1. At this moment I cannot do 3-star configuration for PA: all 3 points are in the same point at meridian. I can't change it, it's so annoying! I didn't expect, I have to do study of mount working process, when I bought new premium mount... I believe I will find solution finally At this moment I suspect the problem is in plate solve. Few days ago, Pinpoint was wrong 4 times during plate solve telescope synchronization. It missed ~1 arcmin different directions. Is often wrong with focal length and scale. Yesterday I found information; when You are using bigger scale, You should use UCAC4 star database for Pinpoint. I'm using GSC 1.1 now. I have to check it. In June 3-star configuration for PA was working well , however with strange results: I attach pictures East and West: best regards!
  2. Hello! I have 16" TS ONTC Newton astrograph with ASI 071 camera on ASA DDM 85 Basic with absolute encoders. Setup is installed in my observatory at concrete pier permanently. Setup is balanced well, telescope has eliminated deflections, colimation is also set well. Collimation doesn't changing during movement. I rebuild main mirror cell, dovetail etc... I think, I have eliminated all hardware problems. I have made pointing model for ~40 points both sides. Corrections in pointing model are at the level 0-5" arcsec ,so it's not bad for a Newtonian telescope. Measurements at bin2 , image scale 1,2" arcsec/px. Pinpoint with GSC1.1 corrected. Corrections in MLPT are at the level ~ 2-8" arcsec. Generally the setup is working nice. However... The pointing models are not repeatable! First time corrections at the level 0-5" ( arcseconds ) , next time after few minutes ~0-2' ( yes! arcminutes! ). Hardware problems are excluded. It's physically impossible. I'm looking for the reason. I have no ideas anymore. All pictures during pointing model had well visible, round stars. All pictures was solved well. One function doesn't work well : 3stars model is creating all three points in the same place at the meridian. How to change it manually? There is problem to set polar align. Some time ago 3stars model had working with well distances, however the results was strange: first and third points had corrections at very small level, every time second one had unnaturally large. Iterations were not repeatable. Finally I set polar align in SharpCap. Does anyone know what could be the reason? I can attach printscreens or configuration files... best regards Marcin
