  1. The .com site was new to me for about two weeks ago, when they released the PDF on the DDM60R I want more info And if they are serious of getting a really good release on the 2.0 software, they really should put it up at the beta-forum for testing... if it is a beta that is, might be an alfa also. /Daniel
  2. Astrosysteme has two totally different websites, www.astrosysteme.at which seems to not be updated really well, but the www.astrosysteme.com seems better. However, when they bangs the drums and blows the horns that they will have their official release on AIC 2015, they should really put something up on their websites, after all, this is a big leap for ASA, The imaging community and for entry-level astronomers that might have the cash and want a premium-mount. Has anyone heard anything about ASA 2.0? /Daniel
  3. Yep, I would at least hope they should show off a short demo or something of the new mount and the new groundbreaking software :/
  4. Do I need to fill that out even when i fill the box "use MPLT" in the sequence settings tab with the 15min interval? Isn't that when you want to image without "Sequence Run"? but only use MLPT with autoslew?
  5. That they "launched" the DDM60R with ASA 2.0 and there is no info at all from the launch? Have searched all the net of more info... nothing at all
  6. Aha, I thought that the interval should be the same as the exposure, thanks for clearing that out for me In the manual, there is no reference to the "MLPT" button under "Sequence" settings, that´s why i got confused. So, as far as i understand, The sequence run uses the MLPT-setting i have entered in the "MLPT" box under sequence settings, but calculates the total length of the MLPT from my exposure settings? /Daniel
  7. Thanks, is it nessecary to use same intervall as my subs (5min) or is 15min a good estimate? The MLPT I am reffering to is the MLPT Sequence do when it runs the Sequence, not the manual MLPT that you send to autoslew manually, the "use mlpt" in sequence is not explained (sadly) /Daniel
  8. Hi, i have looked in tha manual(s) and here on the forum but haven't find the answer, When i Run a sequence and activate MLPT, do i have to specify the total exposure lenght and the numbers of exposures or does sequence calculate that by it self from the settings i have done under Target/exposures etc.? I have sucessfully been imageing two weeks in a row without a glitch now, from now on, i will add one "feature" at a time, starting with MLPT now, adding my cloudwatcher later on etc. /Daniel
  9. I run a HP elitebook 6980 (i think) with 4gb ram and i7 intel CPU, probably overkill :-) /Daniel
  10. As far as a test-session, very good! The roll off roof of my obs is still manual, so i have to manually move the roof, the rest went all fine - Sequence target/exposure settings where all correct, slewing, platesolving and initial focus with a "auto selected star" 5,2mag star went good. And all of the exposures was ok except one which had a odd kind of trailing, almost like a "bumb" on the pier or something. One thing i might have forgotten or if anything got missed was that after the finished sequence, it didn't shut off the cooling of the ccd or parked the scope, probably a miss from my side! The hope is back! /Daniel
  11. Hi, yes i am very pleased with me (with a lot of help from you guys!) getting it to work, all that is left is the roof control which www.blueastro.se is going to provide anytime soon i hope. The test images went ok, had to throw away at least one of the images which had a strange small drift? in it. So far, all good. /Daniel
  12. Any news on the DDM60 revolution or perhaps, the more interesting for us existing users, the upcoming ASA 2.0 software? They where present at the IAC in San Jose as I understand, and was going to "reveal" the new system. /Daniel
  13. Thank you so much! Everything seems good so far, CCD cooling set off 10minutes before sequence start, slew to mag 5 star, pinpoint and focus routine went fine and now it starts it first exposure...
  14. Success! Synched via CdC to Cygnus and set that as new home position and now the slewing is spot on - was a bit worried that i was have to do a complete new autopoint but it worked out great, I am now setting up my first ever sequence run M81-82 will be my first target. Thank You so so much, can't imagine hove things have (not) worked out with all your help - for sure not the last time either. /Daniel
  15. Yes i have seen that option, so the parameters and ini is not the same? One more thing, the sync i do before i set the new home position, should be done in CdC ( no new pointing file)?
  16. Thank you so much for that info, this info should go in the manual! So if i sum it up as i understand the routine so far. Power up motors on Homefind (encoders) Sync on bright star and set new home position - save ini and now it is safe to power off? /Daniel
  17. I have done all of the above except setting a new home position (is that the same as homefind?) and if not, what does it do, and where should i put the new home position? Near my "roof park position"? /Daniel Edit; I read the manual (again) and correct me if i am wrong, but i need to set my own home position (meridian, zenit?) where i live so Autoslew can calculate the offset between the encoder reference marks and my home position?
  18. I am using a time server in Windows time settings, using local time. I have not set a new home position or changed anything in the pointing or made a synch sience last weekend, the object is not even on the chip i'm afraid, which makes a platesolve hard to do?
  19. Thanks, need positive vibes to keep going on Last time i synched (did a 40 star auto point) was last weekend (6 days ago) - i thought autoslew corrected for that? Note that i didn't use a planetarium at all to slew to objects but only autoslew. Will try synch tonight /
  20. It just crossed my mind - do you have to do a synch (in sequence?) after a power down and homefind? Or should the pointing be accurate after the homefind as i wan't to believe? /Daniel
  21. When i bought my DDM i thought it would make my imaging easier... i am soon out of hair... I have a lot of trouble but right now, i can´t understand why Autoslew doesn't pointing right. I managed to do a 40 star autopoint in Sequence, calculated that and all the slews where spot on, this weekend, with the right configurations loaded, it won't hit the targets. I first thought it was an error with CdC and auto slew but even the slews from Autoslew (CdC not active) is off. It isn't even on the chip. Why is this? And also - when i slew in Autoslew with sequence open - Sequence crashes, every single time. I Use Autoslew 5.2.1.3 and sequence 0.2.0.8 /Daniel
  22. Thank you so much for that solution astrosirius, it worked great. I unistalled sequence and deleted the folder, made a completely new .ini file and now the readoutmodes under the CCD setting tab show 1-2-3-4 but as they should, but i do not use them (the checkbox is checked) The focuser also moves as it should (i hope) i tested the autofocus routine during the day and it seems to control the focus motor as it should! Big ups! /Daniel
  23. That sounds promising Luis, you have a mail in your inbox /Daniel
  24. I have tried some more, it seems to be Sequence that is the problem. With the Ascom simulators on the Camera and focuser, it produces Readoutmode -1 I Also tried with the real focuser and Camera simulator AND vice versa, still the same, Sequence stops because it could not make any exposure (probably due to the Readoutmode set to -1) 17:11:15.973: Starting V-Curve now 17:11:15.978: Starting with Focus Position = 50,99 17:11:16.123: Setting Readoutmode to -1 17:11:16.133: Setting Boxsize to 1100 17:11:16.133: Make Exposure with 2,53 s 17:11:16.138: Error during MakeExposure (Maxim) 17:11:18.908: Could not measure V-Curve, Moving back to initial focus position = 50,99 I could not "Read modes from CCD" from either the CCD setting tab or the Autofocus tab, it sais "Readoutmode from Maxim failed!" even with the Ascom simulator. Is there any settings in Maxim that i have forgot to set? The setting "do not use readout modes" does not affect anything i am afraid. Edit; I just tried to re-install Sequence but with same outcome, i can't change the readoutmode... sigh... /Daniel
  25. I re-installed the drivers buy still the same, i wonder if this is something with Sequence or maxim :-/ /Daniel
