vdB 81,NGC 2254 (Monoceros) *November-December 2017 * ASA N12 astrograph (f/3.6,1075mm) * ASA DDM85 mount * Moravian G3-16200 EC CCD * LRGB Baader filter set * L: 690 minutes R:430 min G:430 min B:570 min * Subframes acquired unguided (Sequence& Autoslew) * VdB 81 (also catalogued as IC 448, is a reflection nebula in the constellation of Monoceros. Situated between NCC 2261 (Cone nebula) and NGC 2237 (Rosette nebula), Its illuminated by the 4.47 mag, A0Ib spectral class star 13 Monocerotis (HD 46300).It´s like a blue ink drop expanding as waves between stars: Upper left side of image,you can see the the open cluster NGC 2254 Background showns filamentary emission nebulosity belonging to the Monoceros Loop supernova remnant.* Thanks to Mr.Sakib Rasool for sugegsting the image area.
