  1. Hi Waldemar, right now I'm a bit busy - I'll send a picture when I'm back from vacation...
  2. Waldemar, when I connect the camera directly, I don't have any problems. I also tried to use the hub without its power source, but I stil have those lines on the picture... Regards Sebastian
  3. Hi Waldemar, it took some time to check the hub. It works by the meaning that there are no connection losses as happening with the ASA hub. But there are some artefacts like vertical and horizontal lines with equal distance - about five of them across the entire picture… I have no idea, where they come from. Regards Sebastian
  4. Hi George, it would be nice if I could use your Excel sheet to check my motor currents over time. Regards Sebastian
  5. Waldemar, I've tried everything: QSI683 >all kinds of cablesall kinds of cables The only thing that works at the moment is a direct USB cable to the PC - no matter what kind of cable. I've ordered the Tanscend hub - perhaps it works with my equipment. Sebastian
  6. Hi Waldemar, my equipment does connect, but it doesn't keep the connection. I have one of the later mounts, so I just can pull out the topplate without removing the scope. I think I'm going to get the Transcend hub and give him a try... Regards Sebastian
  7. Hi Waldemar, to me it seems as if the Transcend usb hub might have the same dimensions as the built in one of the ASA ddm85 (which is not working with any of my equipment). Perhaps it is possible to swap it with the ASA one, if it works with my QSI683, etc. Is the built in one supplied with 12V too? Sebastian
  8. Waldemar, unfortunatly I'm taking no orders - I think it would be too expensive for you anyway... It took about 100kg of aluminium tiles… But for me it was lots cheaper than an Equatorial Pier from ASA, because I didn't really have to pay the milling... Sebastian
  9. Salut Jay, the pier is cuustom made - I designed it and the parts were milled in our workshop... Everything that deals with my observatory is custom made: http://forum.astronomie.de/phpapps/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/809741/1
  10. Waldemar, only beer, no Schnapps... And you have to keep in mind: Bavaria is not Germany - it's Bavaria! > Freistaat Bayern That's what many Bavarians think...
  11. That's right Waldemar - I've been to Austria several times - I've also picked up my mount at ASA. What I also found out, when doing all the wireing is, that the wires (see my diagram) of the data conectors in the mount are mixed up… Perhaps it's no problem when using the original ASA cables. But I did it the same way as you did - I made all the wireing by myself, because then I know what I get…! Sebastian
  12. …it's right - any normal person in the universe would expect the red and black wire being the main wires to power the mount - but you have to know the mount is from Austria and Austrians are different! So don't do what you might think is right - always read first - the bad manuals…! Sebastian
  13. …it's as simple as that - they ran out of the type of cable they had, when they printed the manual…! But when you have a look at my diagram, it's clear: brown (5) is + and black (6) is GND. You are lucky that you didn't damage anything - always read carefully first, before doing anything! Regards Sebastian
  14. Prefetch, 1 and 6 are the wrong kombination - you have to take 5 and 6! 5 is positiv and 6 is GND for the mount.
  15. Hi Prefetch, when I have a look at your pictures, to me it seems the power is on the wrong pins - have a look at this pdf: Belegungsplan_ASA_DDM85.pdf Regards Sebastian
  16. Salut Eric, I have a fairly new DDM85 which came with the 6-pin connector - I expected it to be a 4-pin. What I found out is, there are now two additional pins for +/-12V comming from the OK3 +12V gray and GND yellow. I was told it was a modification for things to come in the future. Regards Sebastian Belegungsplan_ASA_DDM85.pdf
  17. Salut Gerald, thank you for your thoughts - I have tried everything you mentioned, but nothing has changed - I'll leave it as it is...! I don't care any more. Regards Sebastian
  18. I'm using 5.2.0.4…and Sequence 0.2.0.3
  19. Salut Gerald, unfortunatly I can't find an entry in the uninstall Programs section which is called ACC. Resetting to factory settings doesn't change anything... Regards Sebastian
  20. Salut Gerald, I have had a look at the Autoslew.ini before and it says "Use ACC and take over settings from ACC=False" but ACC SI gets started anyway... What else could cause ACC SI to be launched? Regards Sebastian
  21. Salut Nigel, to me it seems ACC is included in Autoslew, so I can't uninstall it... @ Ian: the small box you are talking about is unchecked - when I check it, Autoslew saves the changes and shuts down. After starting again, the ACC settings window appears. That's not the window I'm talking about - I'm talking about the ACC SI window showing the focusser, rotator and cover at the top and USB state and rotation angle at the bottom... Regards Sebastian
  22. Salut, I'm wondering if there is a possibility to prevent the ACC SI window from starting since I have no ASA components connected to the USB hub. Each time I'm launching Autoslew the ACC SI opens first and it can't be closed unless Autoslew is being closed. Regards Sebastian
