MarkS
I hope this signifies the end of almost a year of bad weather in this part of the world..... This nebula is a very active star forming region in the LMC - second only to the famous Tarantula. Therefore it doesn't receive the same attention as its bigger neighbour. This image was shot in the 3 hours between dark start and moonrise on 21 January. SQL 21, seeing 2.5 arcsec, Humidity 90%. DDM60, ASA10N at f/6.8, G3-16200 camera, RGB only all binned X 2, plate scale 1.44"/px. Processed in Pixinsight and CS5. Mark

MarkS
Hi Fabrice, The El Nino finished around May 2016. The SOI returned close to zero after then. However, I do know that cloud cover was higher than the previous year and that it had a bad habit of coinciding with New Moon times! Mark
