  1. i have had the following response to my email asking ASA if we can use their documentation and logo on the wiki:

    ------------------

    Dear Nigel,

we check the possibilities, but I think we will find a solution for a WIKI.

Our forum admin is on vacation the next two weeks, then we talk about a solution.

    Best regards,

    Dietmar

    ---------------------

Looks like we will have to wait a couple of weeks for an answer.

Hmm if ASA starts a Wiki will there be two wikis??  I asume they could be complementary, I think we continue with this one until we hear any more from ASA.

I will register asa-users.org if I dont hear anyone complain.

    /Christer

  2. Hi Lucas and All,

Nice Mount tuning page Lucas! The wiki will be a great resource to all.

Here are some avalible domain name to use, price around 10 euro/year

    asausers.com

    asausers.eu

    asausers.net

    asausers.org

Give me som suggestion what name you like!

  3. Hi Lucas and All!

I found the uploaded image not shown issue, it was an setting not allowing any document types to show.

So now your screenshot shows and the small avatar icons as well :)  Will look into the send mail issue

Screenshot of setup is a good idea, in Win7+ there is a build in tool called "Snipping Tool" you can use.

  4. Lukas,

The PA page looks ok except no screenshot, probable a file right issue, I will look into it.

So you all can you try out the Wiki features and play with pages, but dont put so much effort yet in the content before I see all seems to work ok.

  5. Hi All!

I have now set up a first test draft of the BlueSpice Wiki on one of my websites, you can find the link below.

Just click on "Login" and register.

I added some suggested navigation menu topics in the left column, the can be edited but may need admin rights.

So feel free to try it out and add and edit new pages.

I think we wait to add documents and software until ASA give their blessings ;)

Still some fine tuning regarding page update speeds, need optimize some file cashing settings, and some missing icons.

We can create a new domain name more fitting than the one I borrowed now.

There are lot of extension to explore for the BlueSpice, and figure out how to use current features like the portal and dashboard..

  6. Hi All!

I like you ideas!! I think we should go for a wiki, we run a similar on my work internally it works nicely.

I can host whatever we chose, with no cost, I already have several other domains and websites hosted on a provider in Sweden.

I can probably help to set up whatever we chose, I have quite good IT knowledge but not an expert at wiki setup. I will also start look around for a good solution.

As a reseller I could perhaps squeeze out som info from ASA ;)

  7. Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info! I was thinking of 3D plotting an adapter from a local 3D plotter company. I currently have a SX filter wheel 36mm a bit tight for the 16200 chip but was thinking a way to fit it to the G3 and see what the vignetting effect is, buying new Astrodon 50 mm filters is more expensive than the G3 camera ;)

  8. Hi Lukas,

They told me they had only an adapter for the G4 series of cameras but decided to build a G3 adapter, as I suggested ;)  with no OAG support due to short BF distance of the Wynne, se reply below. This adapter and camera should be of interest for all ASA OTA users, the camera have a good price compared to FLI. This adapter is with the G3 + EFW-3S-7 external filter wheel attached, there internal FW have only 5 spots.

"We decided to build the G3 to Wynne adapter and offer it as regular item. However, the whole process of introduction of a new item takes a time as our manufacturing is oriented to mass production and prototype manufacturing has to be “inserted” into regular stream of batches.

    Best Regards

    Pavel Cagas, Moravian Instruments"

By the way I read somewhere ASA may release in the future (whatever that means) a Wynne with longer BF distance witch should be of interest to you, check with ASA.

  9. Hi Luc,

I also had problem getting AS 5.2.18+ to work so Dr. Keller fixed a working 5.2.2.3 release I think you should try that out, it still may be in beta phase, but that seems all releases be in ;)  I can arrange a download link if you cant find it in the beta forum.

    BR,

  10. Hi Ian,

Sorry I forgot to tell you the 5.2.2.2 was i the beta section.

About my Autoslew 5.2.1.9+ problem to start on my Win10 seems now been resolved by Dr.Keller, he told me it was a bug in Autoslew/FTDI so this should be fixed in coming 5.2.2.3 release in beta testing right now. So it would be a good idea to joint the beta tester program.

  11. Hi Denis,

Hi I'm also on Win 10 with a DDM85 with same problem as you nothing happens. The I reinstall 5.2.1.8 and it works OK, so it seems it could be something DDM85 related witch seems a bit far fetched. Same problem also on a freshly installed windows 10. I asked Dr. Keller some months ago and he could not give me any clues.

So I'm stuck on 5.2.1.8.  Can anyone else with DDM85 confirm they got 5.2.1.9 to work on Win 10?

    /Christer

  12. Hi Daniel,

Here is a comment from Dr Keller what he suggests.

" So make the big pointing file only every month or so and inbetween, use few stars like 3 or 5 to make a pointing file and select the Polar Alignment only.

The idea behind this is that most of your system is changed but PA may be off.

Another option is to optimize PA and collimation only (makes sense if you have >=5 stars).

You will save a lot of time but get about the same result.

This is especially the case when you do MLPT anyway.

When you enter the advanced pointing window you can manually select which parameters you want to be fitted against your new pointing file."

  13. Hi George,

I had problem to make homefind som weeks ago, had no problem before, so finnaly I made a factory reset and it worked again, had to set up location and load pointing file again but after that all worked ok again.

    /Christer
