rbrecher
My image of M10, taken in June 2014, is Picture of the Day at Astronomy.com. Thanks to Michael Bakich for recognizing and publicizing my work this year both online and in the magazine. A copy of the Astronomy website page is available with the image and processing details at http://astrodoc.ca/m10-globular-cluster/ Clear skies,Ron
astrosirius
Hello Ron, Congratulations for the award!! I liked very much, it seems your mount is guiding perfectly. I liked the colours calibration stars. Are you working unguided? I have already bought a DDM85XL-S, I am waiting to receive in a few months. Best regards Luis Romero. www.astrosirius.org
rbrecher
I use a Paramount MX and guide. I can shoot for about 10m unguided at 1"/pixel, but not in all parts of the sky. So I guide about every 5 seconds (complete guide cycle is about 8 seconds. I regularly achieve +/- 0.5" RMS guiding on each axis. I'm very happy with the mount.
