Mark, Thank you for the information. Gerhard

O.k., I see. So does it connect directly with an USB-cable for control? What about power? Gerhard

A question to those who already own the AAF: is it compatible with the OK3 controller, as it is build into the DDM85 on request? If yes, what would be the price for the new focuser? Best regards, Gerhard

Well, P.Keller posted the updated Sequence doc (in the 'old' Yahoo user group, if I remember correctly), when he made the beta-version accessible for us beta-testers. I downloaded it immediately, knowing that links have a tendency to disappear. Glad that I can share it now again with the community. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi Daniel, Here is the manual for the Beta-versions of Sequence with some explanations. Best regards, Gerhard Sequence200.pdf

Hi Daniel, With the beta versions of Autoslew and Sequence you can configure a fully automatic run, including MLPT and autofocusing. The last versions run very stable with my configuration, and I run automatized now for almost two years. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi George, All your personal Autoslew .ini-files are kept under the ProgramData folder and are not touched by uininstalling/upgrading. Just uninstall you old version and install the new one. You will be asked if Autoslew was already running on your system, by choosing "yes" everything should be fine for you. I also would upgade Sequence for consistency reasons. You should check out all its new features, I'm using it for automatization of an all night run now, and it works great for me. Best regards, Gerhard

I can't speak for the DDM60, but my DDM85 never has a problem with condensation. The motors and electronics inside seem to generate enough heat to keep the housing dry. I observe sever condensation only on the counterweights+shaft and on the telescope tube. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi Mark, I agree with Mark. Using a dew shield and running the fan prevents condensation even during the most humid nights. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi Gerald, Your dedication is amazing, as are the results. Congratulation! Gerhard

Hi Tim, Regarding your questions: @ 1: You can make your new pointing file with the old configuration active, Autoslew is aware of that. @ 2: Simply solve your new autopointing file as usual and save it with the option 'use now, save and use on next start' Sequence never crashed on me when taking autopointing exposures, neither with my local setup nor with the remote setup, which is similar to yours. Maybe the current Beta versions perform better for you. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi Antonio, A very interesting area in the sky. I'm sure it takes some dedication and a really dark sky to show it in this quality. Very nice processing and a great idea to show it in context with the prehistoric painting. Best regards, Gerhard

Hi Aggelos, You have been quite productive. My personal favorite is M16 - very detailed and beautiful colors. Best regards, Gerhard

A very nice and deep image with lots of details, though the large version shows still quite a bit of noise. Thank you for showing, Gerhard

Hi Thomas, Excellent image. Even more, considering it was done with an uncooled DSLR. Best regards, Gerhard

weird airy disc pattern - what can cause this?
GerhardB replied to Konihlav's topic in ASA N-SERIES & ASA H-SERIES
Hi Pavel, The pattern could be generated by an obstruction. Have you ever done an analysis with a strongly defocussed star? If you see more than the shadow of the secondary and the spiders, then this additional item could be the source of the pattern. Looking at the image of your setup, the pickup prism of the off-axis guider could very well be the origin of an additional obstruction. Best regards, Gerhard
