MarkS
The Fornax Cluster is about 60 million light years distant. The large elliptical at lower centre of this image is NGC 1399. Other galaxies include NGC 1404, 1380, 1387, 1379, 1382, 1374, 1375, 1381, 1389, and the bluish irregular NGC 1427A. There are also a few others. NGC 1365 is just out of the field of view, which is 1.5degree X 1.1 degree. The image was shot on a cloud interrupted night, so only 90 minutes of data was obtained;RGB only. ASA 10N at f/2.8, Moravian G2-8300 camera.
