  1. Hi, feels like i am spamming this community, but as a total newbee on ASA's mounts, i hope you understand I have come so far that i was able to perform a auto point with 20 stars yesterday, together with my C9,25" SCT. At first, i had a slew settle time of about 2sec, wasn't good enough so i raised it to 5 and later on 7 seconds. How ever, when pointing east, south or west I am getting pretty good stars for the 5sec exp. pinpoint needs. But when i am pointing north-ish at mid to low declinations, the 7sec is not at all near enough in settle time OR is it the servo PID-settings that might be different in this direction, making star trails? This resulted in just two successful solved images. How long slew settle time do you guys have? /Daniel
  2. Update, i used the latest stable (not beta) of autoslew and the most recent beta of sequence, they probably wasn't compatible. I unistalled both of them, saved the .ini and removed bth program folders and installed the recent betas of them both, seems to be working now. /Daniel
  3. Hi, i got his error message, does anyone know whats the problem? I have tried to deactivate the limits, and also altered them, with a three star mousegrid almost in zenit. /Daniel
  4. Good to hear you are making progress! /Daniel
  5. Thanks for the answer. Well, can you schedule MLPT? I haven't read anything about that, and i am not that experienced in Sequence. /Daniel
  6. Hi, i was wondering if MLPT is a benefit when you have a big 40 star pointing model in a stationary observatory? This seems to be a bit tricky if i want to run completely automated. /Daniel
  7. Välkommen :-) Really nice observatory you got there, is it planned to be operational this year?
  8. That is a good point, how ever, i am not very good at recognizing and knowing all the objects, so i need a good graphical software.
  9. Hi, i am right now using CdC bit i think that program is to slow when scrolling/zooming in the sky chart. I am now looking towards going back to Stellarium, is there anyone using that software? It seems to have happend a lot in the past years with many plugins etc. /Daniel
  10. Thanks for the input. What are your opinion on a "fast" settling? Within 3sec? 5sec? Is there a "recomended" trace level one should aim to be within?
  11. Hi, i am just wondering when you guys are happy with your servo tuning, when the motors are quiet and runs good, or do you tune the settings to a certain curve? /Daniel
  12. Very nice, thank you so much! How is the USB - port handling? Win7 is a bit tricky sometimes... /Daniel
  13. Has anyone tried Autoslew and Sequence with windows 10? /Daniel
  14. Ok, I will do some more testing, but it's alot easier when i know how it's actually works. I will setup a sequence run and trigger unsafe conditions and see how it's responds to it. /Daniel
  15. Yea, that is probably true, after all, i have never been running a sequence with safety monitor before. But is the sequense listening or fetching from the driver, i am a novice on this subject so forgive me if I don't understand this fully. /Daniel
  16. I have now tested with a plan, and when i hit Run Sequence, it does indeed changes the Safety monitor and from beeing OK to Not OK, so it seems to be working, but wouldn't it be better if it changed status when the driver does? /Daniel
  17. Well, the firmware in my arduino reads the sensors every two seconds, then takes an average of 15 readings, that makes 30s before the driver is updated with a new "Is Safe" So i can assume that the Sequence Safe Mon is indeed working properly. The error is that it is not changing status when altering the sensor values to force it in to Safe or Not safe. The ASCOM setup dialog box is how ever indicating that the hardware/fw and sensors are working propely and dispalying right sensor values and therefor safe or Not safe.
  18. Hi, has any one of you had any problems with the ascom safety monitor (cloud sensors etc.) in Sequence? I am trying out a new arduino and DIY ascom driver and Sequence doesn't report OK and NOT OK as it should it seems :-/ /Daniel
  19. Yes, i noticed that today when I double checked the numbers. What PA error do you use? /Daniel
  20. Yea, that's what i assume as well. Maybe worth a notice to next version of autoslew?
  21. Hi, i just wan't to get confirmation that the polar error shown in the window "Correction Factors" are shown in degrees? There isn't any mark besides the numbers, but at 2350mm FL and Atik 460 17mm chip, the star moved around 1/8 of the chip size when i moved the star, so to me, it seems that this would be in arc minutes rather than degrees. I am confused. (DDM85, four star align, third polar adjustment.) /Daniel Edit, i started up auto slew and opened up the "Polar adjustment" tool just to check what number it says to me to move the mount, and it is in arc minutes, that seems more reasonable, if that is the case, 0.9 by 0.14 arc minutes seems like a good PA?
  22. Oh, i see well, then it is beyond my knowledge i'm afraid. /Daniel
  23. There are imperial as well as metric Losmandy plates to i think... If it only was metric around the world :-(
  24. Hmm, not just dome but roll off roof? And perhaps Ascom safety monitor?
  25. Yep, how ever, this isn't a alternative to pinpoint in Autoslew?
