  1. Hi Aaron, Did you get a new registration number with the repaired mount? If so, did you use it, or did you try the old one? If you tried to use the old registration number that might be the problem. Part of the registration number is the code for the magnetic angle as I understand. Regards, Waldemar
  2. That should be an automatic feature, Ian. It should pick up where it stopped. Are there download limits where you live?
  3. Hi Ian, W-10 auto updates third party drivers as well. That is the problem with the FTDI drivers. It can be turned of in advanced update settings, by unchecking a box. In that way the Windows updates are not interrupted. I have no problems with W-10 and AS 5.2.1.9 regards, Waldemar
  4. I assume this means you finally got your mount back? Hopefully your problems will be solved now! Best regards, Waldemar
  5. Hi Art, Yes it is working without problems with W10 Regards, Waldemar
  6. That was a nice suggestion Ian, Thank you! BR, Waldemar
  7. Be sure windows does not update third party software... It is infamous for that! I had to reinstall some software because it did that and I did not have the right licenses for the new software... B-(( Be sure AS is on the same timer as your comp.
  8. Thak you for your explanation, Max! I will check it out and see if I can get a trial version. Regards, Waldemar
  9. Sorry, I got it wrong, I understood you were looking for flocking paper for the inside of the tube...
  10. Yes, that worked, Thank you Christer BR, Waldemar
  11. I get the message that I do not have permission to view that pdf file??? any suggestions? Regards, Waldemar
  12. Well, it may be not nice to have it send back to Austria, but I am glad your problem will be solved :-) Waldemar
  13. I have very good experiences with contacting Dietmar Weinzinger, Andrzej. (d.weinzinger@astrosysteme.at) Please try it, This takes almost a year now... I really admire your patience, but the problem should be solved. Best regards, Waldemar
  14. Hi Andrzej, To me this sound like a mechanical problem, which can only be solved by ASA. I would contact them and make an appointment to send it back and have it checked by them. You are probably wasting time and get frustrated by trying to solv this yourself. Just explain to problem to them and let them solve it. Best regards, Waldemar
  15. Maybe I am wrong about that, but I thought that is related in a way.
  16. The series of numbers at the end of the AutoSlew key determines the homefind position on the Renishaw encoders. Did ASA give you a way around that?
  17. Great George! thumbs up! Waldemar
  18. I am interested in it as well, so I contacted ASA a little while ago. They are still working on the software... maybe available 1st quarter 2016, they said. BR, Waldemar
  19. Apparently I am behind... Did not know about the .com site. anybody knows prices? I think this is not only for entry level astronomers. Anyone who wants to upgrade may be interested in this. Waldemar
  20. Thank you Whyzzi. Very interesting info. This looks really appealing! It is kind of strange though, this group was not informed about that news... I am subscribed to the news letter, but did not hear of this.
  21. Yes that is correct Mike, it will enable you to do everything from within the warm environment of your house. It links everything you need to your comp in the house: the mount, the camera(s), filterwheel just name it. You will be able to remotely control everything, within the working distance of your Icron Ranger. Another option would be using teamviewer to control the óutside'computer through the in house one, but you will need an internet connection on both computers for that The great advantage of the Icron is that you need only one computer. If you want to download on a stick first, you will need to have a computer outside, won't you? On top of that you will need a fast high end stick or mobile HDD to store all the information fast and accurate. You are in for a steep learning curve... Many things are not as easy as they look. But giving it some time and patience, you will have a lot of fun ! Regards, Waldemar
